Bear Creek Public Meeting held

The public comment meeting regarding the current leash-only requirement on Bear Canyon Trail was held at the OSMP headquarters at Cherryvale on Tuesday night. The current issues were discussed. Key concerns regarded the environmental impacts on Bear Creek. Arguments for both sides were presented. It was agreed that the suggestions and concerns wold be sent to the OSMP Board and if a compromise could be found it would be sent to NCAR and to the Boulder City Council. Although no promises were made, there seemed to be interest on both sides in having voice & sight on-corridor restrictions rather than the current leash only regulation.
